A licensed Montana Fishing Outfitter and native Montanan, Bob has been fishing the Madison and Yellowstone rivers since the mid-1960's. During his college years at Montana State University, Bob worked in the fisheries department for the Montana Department of Fish Wildlife & Parks. Because of his love for the area, he moved his business back to Montana and dedicates his summers to his passion: fly-fishing. Whether the client is a first time fly-fisher wanting to acquire the basics or an experienced angler wanting to learn the subtleties of dry fly fishing the "big waters" of Montana's rivers, Bob's skilled instructional style delivers a rewarding and enjoyable day for each of his customers.

In addition to Bob, Rainbow Valley offers a host of native Montana guides and associated outfitters that are among the best on the river. Their years of experience are obvious when one sees the care and consideration that is given to each client. How hard can this actually be? Do I really need to pay someone to show me how to fish? Fishing is fishing, right? Well, yes and no.

A licensed guide provides each customer with boat transportation on Montana's swift rivers and streams, not easily assessable to wade fishers. Our Guides have a familiarity with local lakes and rivers, such as working fly patterns and their correct presentation as well as providing instruction on how to cast and fish the often-difficult windy conditions found in Montana can prove to be the difference between success and frustration. The guides at Rainbow Valley Outfitting are able to use their boats to maximize fishing opportunities, reading the water as only those with first hand knowledge of the river can. Adding historical and sociological insights during the day rounds out the fly fisher's Montana River Experience.

Price Includes:

Transportation to and from river, fishing, lunch, beverage, instructions as desired and lots of photographs.

All Tackle is extra.

Cancellation Policy:

A FIFTY PERCENT (50%) DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITH FINAL PAYMENT DUE DAY OF TRIP. IN CASE OF CANCELLATION, IF MORE THAN 30 DAYS NOTICE IS GIVEN, THE DEPOSIT IS FULLY REFUNDABLE. A $ 50.OO FEE WILL BE ASSESSED IF CANCELLED WITHIN THE PERIOD BETWEEN 2 AND 30 DAYS PERIOD PRIOR TO TRIP DATE. IF CANCELLATION OCCURS WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE SCHEDULED TRIP, THE DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
